FAM Annual Meeting/Tour & Program:
- Each Fall, the Foundry Association of Michigan holds an annual meeting with guest speakers addressing current topics of interest to our members (energy, environment, labor & employment, healthcare, and more).
- The meetings provide opportunity for members to network and share information with other foundries and foundry suppliers.
- The meetings are frequently hosted by member foundries who open their facilities to a private tour.
- NEW in 2026, we are adding a Golf Outing to the Annual Meeting. Network and hit the links with your industry peers.
Advocacy for the Foundry Industry
- FAM retains an experienced contract lobbyist who represents our industry before the state legislature and with state regulatory agencies.
- This provides FAM members with visibility and access to policy makers.
- Legislators and policy makers regularly contact FAM regarding proposed policy initiatives and seek FAM input —often before they are introduced – so we can provide our input and avoid potential problems.
FAM Legislative/Regulatory Report:
- FAM provides members with comprehensive legislative and regulatory reports summarizing legislative and regulatory issues impacting Michigan foundries on a broad spectrum of subject areas (energy, environment, labor, taxation, employment, health & safety, etc.).
- These reports keep members apprised of emerging issues and provide the opportunity for member feedback to help direct our advocacy efforts to protect and advance the interests of our industry.
